This Green Cabbage Roulade is a showstopper for sure. This mighty green guy shows that you only have to hunt for a cabbage on the land to put an epic roast on the Christmas table. Serve the roulade with fried mushrooms and accompany with a delicious sweet mashed potato and a tasty green salad. We served it with fresh spinach, baked in a generous dash of olive oil with lots of garlic, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and roasted pine nuts, but this salade would be lovely as well.

This BANANAS FOSTER recipe is FIRE. Literally. You get to play with fire (RESPONSIBLY, OK???). This classic recipe veganized makes for a truly dramatic display as once you do some easy prep to combine the deceptively simple ingredients together with a bit of rum, you flambé the whole thing. Listen to your guests OOOH and AAAH as the rum cooks off with the glow of a blue flame, leaving an utterly delectable toasty caramelly sauce coating the bananas. Serve it the traditional way with your fave vegan vanilla ice cream or atop our Mancakes (recipe in book). This recipe is a MAN.EAT.PLANT. classic inspired by our friends at Wicked Healthy. The guys’ Wicked Kitchen line of ready-made plant-based meals at Tesco’s in the UK is a fabulous step forward for affordable and accessible vegan options for all. What a time to be alive as a vegan! To celebrate, we’re revisiting this old favorite. Note that this recipe is super versatile. We’re all about making it work! Not into mushrooms? We suspect that jackfruit would work stunningly though you need to bake a bit longer. No star anise on hand for the quick pickled cabbage? It makes for a nice addition, but feel free to try cloves, cinnamon sticks or any other whole, warm spice (or nothing at all — it’ll definitely be delicious regardless).  No poultry seasoning? DIY some quickly with sage, thyme, rosemary and marjoram or some combination of these. Without further ado:

We have let our minds wander in regards to the new reality we are finding ourselves in and to say it with the words of @zachbushmd (check out his posts!) we 'strongly believe there is too much bandwidth of the collective human consciousness spent on this topic’ so we are not gonna add anything to that besides a few things:

1. @thedutchweedburger just posted an amazing article on their blog that to us says it all

2. we are not quite sure if we will be able to continue our friday posts during the coming period, but will do our best to offer easy and delicious plant based inspiration, maybe through our stories

3. because we see a lot of sadness on social media right now we thought this recipe might cheer you up a bit. Just because a smile can do so much for yourself, your body and the world around you.

We created these Pupcakes in service of @worldanimalprotectionnl and you can find the recipe via their website (link in bio) in Dutch. If you need English, Google is your friend ;-). These vegan puppy dogs are worth a translation.

Although we are still in the middle of the winter, it feels like spring every other day and that is why we felt a craving for a light and crispy curry stuffed with leafy greens and fresh flavours. But given the fact that we aren't crazy about (even our own) rules and conventions we did a delicious bowl full of green food on a light background anyway. If you’ve ever been to country's like Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico you probably know this comfy corn staple food. It’s a cornflour patty (in between bread and pancake) and you can eat it with all kinds of toppings like avocado, vegan cheese and plant meat. We made this avo-carnitas variety which is utterly delicious! You can use our pulled mushroom or pulled jackfruit recipe, both are delicious!
