One of the most familiar snacks in The Netherlands are kroketten; filled with a roux and crusted on the outside. Traditionally made with animal flesh. However we of course made them future proof and cruelty free, enriched with the magestically celeriac and king oyster shrooms! Maartje’s nan used to make kroketten on New Year’s eve, because we Dutchies are already frying oliebollen and appelflappen, so it’s easy to just let a couple of kroketten sink in the frying pan as well. Happy New Year!

Oliebollen are sort of a Dutch version of the American donut holes. The Dutch traditionally eat oliebollen at New Year’s Eve. This special and epic version is made with sparkly apple cider. You may find yourself eating them by the dozen, so beware. Use a nice artisan yeasty cider for extra flavour.

Melon coexists perfectly with smoky, savoury flavors. Melon gives an umami-like aftertaste and therefore works wonderfully with a savoury component. The smoked portobello is very tasty (get yourself a little stovetop smoker for Christmas!), and the crispy, cheeselike wafers and sweet-sour balsamic vinegar make all ingredients come together beautifully. This dish is a perfect, not too heavy start of your Christmas dinner and perfect for all those meat lovers out there. They will surely love these recognizable flavors. Combine this starter with our CRUSTED SMOKY TOFU PLATTER as main dish and CHOCOLATE VOLCANO CAKES as dessert.

This Loving Christmas Menu is loaded with classic flavors and created especially for this day and age. An age in which we collectively decide to put plants on our plates and love, honor and protect all beings great and small.
The Golden Christmas Soup surpasses the average bisque and with its rich palette of flavors and beautiful colors, your guests will certainly feel warmly welcomed.
The Green Cabbage Roulade is a showstopper for sure. This mighty green guy shows that you only have to hunt for a cabbage on the land to put an epic roast on the Christmas table. Serve the roulade with fried mushrooms and accompany with a delicious sweet mashed potato and a tasty green salad. We served it with fresh spinach, baked in a generous dash of olive oil with lots of garlic, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and roasted pine nuts.
And for the cherry on the soy whipped cream this gorgeous Chocolate Mousse Tart offers you a one-way ticket to vegan wonderland. With a shot of espresso that ensures you stay awake for a while to enjoy!
